AA Market sits at the heart of Garden Grove’s vibrant Harbor Boulevard strip as a well-stocked Asian supermarket catering to everyday grocery needs with a focus on affordability and variety. From locals looking for specialty ingredients not commonly found in mainstream stores to families shopping weekly for fresh produce and meats, it offers a practical and straightforward shopping experience.

You’ll find a wide range of dried goods, packaged snacks from across Asia, and fresh fruits and vegetables, all neatly arranged without the crowds that often fill bigger markets nearby. The seafood section, in particular, stands out for its fresh selection and the helpful service of fish cutting and gutting at no extra charge — a convenience that local seafood enthusiasts appreciate. Prices on meats like chicken, beef, and pork are competitive, making it a sensible stop for budget-conscious shoppers stocking up for home-cooked meals.

The atmosphere is utilitarian rather than polished. Frequent visitors will notice the occasional robust odor coming from the fresh fish display, a realistic part of any seafood stall that might catch off-guard first-timers. The parking situation remains fairly easy-going even with nearby construction, which is a plus for those running quick errands.

AA Market appeals most to people already familiar with Asian ingredients seeking a one-stop shop for groceries and specialty items that they cannot find easily elsewhere. Early weekdays or quieter mid-mornings are the best windows to avoid crowds and get the freshest picks. The mix of Indonesian, Thai, Taiwanese, and Malaysian goods scattered throughout the aisles reflects the diverse communities in the area, adding an authentic layer to the shopping experience that locals who cook Asian cuisine regularly will recognize and rely on.

Overall, AA Market functions as a convenient, no-frills grocery spot focused on practical access to Asian staples, fresh seafood, and budget-friendly meats, fitting neatly into Garden Grove’s multicultural fabric without the fanfare of trend-focused markets.

++ So many things. Always love to buy something new. Good price for rice noodles and meat. Not many people there. Good selection of vegetable and fruit -- Smell from fresh fish/ocean monsters is really bad sometimes. Not cheap milk and milk products

This supermarket is one of the lowest priced when it comes to their meats like chicken, beef, pork, and fish. They have a huge selection of fish in which they will cut and gut for you free of charge. They have fresh seafood which is a must! Even when I got myself the frozen clams, it was bomb diggity!! Garlic butter clams! I get my chicken wings from there, also little smokies sausages that I wrap I'm bacon, also sea bass that I stuff with garlic butter and scallions. Before camping, I go to this supermarket and you should also!!! And check out the pre-marinated teriyaki pork skewers! BBQ and beer!!!!

This asian supermarket has various products which are not commonly found in other supermarkets. They have Lays potato chips from Thailand(various flavors), Oreos(various flavors) from Taiwan, Shrimp and chicken flavored snacks from Malaysia, etc. Also notice a pineapple made vegetarian fish sauce here as well. Parking is still pretty easy considering part of the plaza area is under construction.
